Meet the Founder
Books Are Treasures, Inc. was founded as a tribute to a lifelong passion for education — and to one extraordinary woman, our founder's mother. For over 28 years, she worked as a Classroom Aide, making sure every child she worked with had the chance to learn, grow, and discover the power of books.

Meet the Founder
Our Founder's Mother's belief in the power of literacy shaped her daughter's own path.
When she passed away on February 8, 2016, our founder knew she had to carry that legacy forward in a meaningful way.
From that sense of purpose, Books Are Treasures, Inc. was born on September 3, 2019 — a nonprofit dedicated to igniting a love of books in young minds.
Our mission isn't just about books. It's about building a world where every child sees themselves as a scholar, a dreamer, and a creator of their own future.
